Training Assistant Job in Kenya

The NGO Safety Program (NSP) for Somalia / Somaliland is a program created by NGOs, which aims at supporting International and National NGOs to operate safely and securely in Somalia / Somaliland.

This position of high dependability will function as the Training Assistant to the NSP Training Manager and Training Officer for the delivery of all training in Somalia and Kenya.

The core responsibilities of this position will be to assist the delivery of training to NGOs in Somalia and Kenya and to support the future development of NGO training.

The ability to interact with all stakeholders, actors and donors while maintaining and emphasizing a position of principled political neutrality and operational independence is paramount

Qualifications

Kenyan Citizen

Completion of Secondary School

Valid passport and driving licence

Experience in a humanitarian organization, civil emergency service or service related delivery.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Good understanding of English language both written and spoken.

Good administration, logistic and financial skills.

Detailed understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Duty Station: Nairobi with occasional travel to Somalia & training delivery outside of Nairobi.

Start of Contract: Immediate (following successful interview and reference check)

Duration of Contract: 12 months contract (subject to 3 months probation period) with the possibility of an extension, subject to continued donor funding.
