1. Operations Agent

The role and function of the selected candidate will include:
Role & Function


  • Generate and verify mail and various documentation.
  • Coordinate loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Provide accurate information to various internal and external parties such as accounts, authorities, customers, and agents.
  • Update, maintain and file records such as POD, flight files and control sheet.
  • Attend to customers through various touch points (face to face, telephone, email, telex).
  • Check, weigh and scale cargo.
  • Data capture, compiling and submitting of various reports.
  • Certify special cargo, tracing lost and irregular cargo and conducting a physical inventory of warehoused cargo.
    Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper documentation has been generated, checked and confirmed for goods passing through our warehouse.
  • Maintain general security of the warehouse in accordance with procedures.
  • Observe health & safety measures to ensure and maintain safe working conditions.
    Education & Professional Qualifications:
  • KCSE Mean C Plain;
  • College diploma preferably in Air Cargo Services; and
  • Proficiency in MS office applications.

    1. Position: Safety Manager
    The safety manager is responsible for accomplishing many of the daily tasks and functions of the SMS.
    He/she reports to the Heads of Safety and Security in all matters related to safety.
    Responsibilities
    The safety manager’s role is to provide safety expertise to all operating departments in achieving their safety targets.
    The safety manager shall be responsible for:


  • Providing information and advice on safety matters to top management
  • Providing support and consultation on safety management to all departments

  • Conducting a day to day activities associated with the SMS

    The safety Assistant reports to the safety manager in all matters related to safety.
    Responsibilities
    Under the supervision of the Director of Safety and Security, the incumbent assists in implementation of the Safety Management System and the Emergency Response Plan.
    Duties include:
  • Processing and updating of incident/occurrence reports including follow-up with respective persons,
  • Coordination of Safety Review Board and Safety Action Group activities,
  • Distribute safety literature, newsletters and reports,
  • Coordination of training activities and identifies safety trends and participates in accident and incident investigation.
  • Perform other duties as required. Qualifications
  • Hold a degree.
  • At least one year experience in flight operations or engineering
  • Completed training in ICAO Safety Management System (SMS)

    1. Kenya Aircraft Mechanic Jobs Job Description Job: 2206-Aircraft Mechanic
    Samaritan's Purse is looking for an experienced A&P mechanic to serve full time with its East Africa aviation team.
    We currently operate the following aircraft types from our base in Eldoret, Kenya: DC-3T, King Air 200, and Cessna Grand Caravan.
    The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience on similar type or PT6 powered aircraft, has a proven history in a broad range of maintenance activities, can function very well both independently and in a close knit team, and has some experience working overseas.
    However, the most important quality we are looking for is a humble heart to serve the Lord.
    We want a person who has felt God's leading to use their gifts, skills, and abilities in aviation to reach hurting people in remote parts of the world with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.
    Days often begin early and end late, whether it be launching an aircraft, assisting with cargo loading, or fulfilling our primary task of maintaining aircraft - pursuing technical excellence to the Glory of God. What we do is extraordinary.

    Responsibility:


  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft so that they are available for dispatch as scheduled. This may mean extended work hours, weekends, or working nights to return the aircraft to service.
  • Perform engineering duties in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
  • Ensure continued airworthiness of the aircraft.
  • Ensure the aircraft are clean and neat.
  • Ensure the aircraft records are current and complete.
  • Maintain the equipment and facilities for the aircraft.
  • Maintenance personnel are often required to be overnight at out locations in support of our operations - up to 30% of the time depending on our activity.
  • Personnel should anticipate many of the locations being austere with few amenities.
  • Showers, a hot meal, and even a bed may not be available. Sleeping in the aircraft may at times be required.
  • Be willing and comfortable working in remote environments, with little support structure, often in war zones.
  • When humanitarian crisis arise, it may be necessary to temporarily deploy away from the home base for several weeks, and even up to 30 days at a time.
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers.
  • Assess, manage, and report critical physical, emotional, or spiritual concerns of supervised staff. Qualification:
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Samaritan's Purse (SP) is looking for a Pilot/Mechanic to serve full time with its East Africa aviation team.
    We currently operate the following aircraft types from our base in Eldoret, Kenya: DC-3T, King Air 200, and Cessna Grand Caravan.
    The ideal candidate will have a commercial/instrument or ATP license, 2,500 hours total flight time, bush flying experience, an A & P, and some history living overseas.
    However, the most important quality we are looking for is a heart to serve the Lord.
    We want a person who has felt God's leading to use their gifts, skills, and abilities in aviation to reach hurting people in remote parts of the world with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.
    Days often begin early and end late, uniforms get dirty loading aircraft, the landing zones and accommodations are rough, and the environment austere.
    What we do is expeditionary aviation.
    Why we do it, more than anything else, will determine whether or not you should apply.
    Pilots may be assigned to more than one aircraft type.
    Additionally, for programs such as East Africa, current base location(s) should not be assumed to be final; flexibility may be required.
    Responsibilities:
  • Ability to obtain a first class medical and maintain at least a second class medical certificate and valid pilot's license (commercial minimum).
  • Performs pilot duties as needed or assigned.
  • Files flight plans as needed or assigned.
  • Obtains weather data and interprets data based on flight plan.
  • Completes aircraft weight and balances for flights.
  • Loads and unloads passenger's luggage and cargo in aircraft.
  • Keeps assigned aircraft charts and software updated.
  • Keeps the aircraft clean, neat, and polished when home and away from the home base including sanitizing the aircraft restroom facilities after each flight.
  • Assists in the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of SP hangar and property.
  • Performs pre-flights and post-flights to ensure safety of flight.
  • Works with the FAA as assigned.
  • Represents Samaritan's Purse as a professional when dealing with donors, government officials, and others.
  • Aircrew should expect to overnight away from home base approximately 35% of the time.

    Key tasks:
    The Environmental health and safety officer will be expected to perform the following tasks:
  • Maintains current working knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulation affecting the workplace and keeps all stakeholders others regularly informed.
  • Responsible for developing a working partnership within the facility that will promote a positive approach to insuring worker health and safety.

  • Partner with HR in order to conduct and document injury, accident and near miss investigations in order to determine root cause.

    Job Summery:
    DAC Aviation is seeking an exceptional, driven and experienced individual with demonstrated strong managerial, logistics, financial and administrative skills.
    The successful candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient running of DAC Aviation outstations (Kinshasa, Bunia and Goma), operations in DR Congo and will report to the Program Director, based in Nairobi.
    This important role will represent DAC Aviation in DR Congo and will maintain excellent working relationship with local authorities and other stakeholders in the country.
    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all crew houses have the following services functioning at all time: electricity, water supplies (hot water for shower/bath), Internet, DSTV, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks) and access to transportation 24h/7.
  • Update, manage and account for both stores & assets inventory according to DAC
  • Aviation policies and procedures on a monthly basis;
  • Ensure Internet connection works efficiently without interruptions; research and advise on ways to improve field base Information System if required;
  • Ensure all computers and peripheral hardware are properly maintained or repaired as required; ensure all stations are protected from viruses, etc.;
  • Supervise the coordination of travel plans for national and expatriate staff as well as guests, and arrange visas.
  • Ensure all stations and/or servers have back-ups at all time.

  • Responsible for the timely renewal of the entire DAC aircrafts' licenses in DR Congo to ensure no interruption of the operation;
  • Monitor and maintain high quality of service as per DAC’s standards;
  • Take control and deal with partner organizations who may not respect SOPs and/or may jeopardize the safety and security of our operations;
  • In collaboration with the Air Operation Manager, responsible for the overall discipline, welfare and morale of crew;
  • In conjunction with the operation department, maintain proper records of flight operation information (i.e. ledgers, FHS, Manifest, Tech sheets)
  • Supervise the compilation of statistical records on a monthly basis
  • Supervise the reservation department and the implementation of the on line reservation system

    Job Purpose:

    The Chief Fire Services Officer is responsible for all matters in relation to Fire Disaster, Risk Reduction in so far as Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting, Search and Rescue, Inspection and enforcement of Statutory Requirements is concerned.

    The CFSO provides leadership to the Fire and Rescue team at the airport is responsible for the day-to-day command of the fire service and is responsible for creating awareness and ensuring fire safety is adhered to in the airport and by all stakeholders

    The Job Holder reports to the Airport Manager Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

    Role Responsibilities

    Provide leadership to the Fire and Rescue team through overall planning and management of the entire station fire and rescue function
    Develop, review and implement all firefighting policies and procedures in accordance with the industry regulations
    Inspect fire fighting equipment in order to ensure appropriate equipment is available as required
    Take command in the event of a fire in-order to ensure safe, effective and controlled response
    Inspect airside equipments such as radars, highloaders, tractors and all other vehicles operating in the airside to make sure they meet apron regulations on safety
    Liaise with the Fire Training Instructors on annual training program of fireman and other unscheduled programs and train all airport operators on fire rescue and awareness

    Desirable Knowledge and Skills
