The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking a Research Technician to provide technical support in the areas of analytical chemistry and food microbiology in sweetpotato roots and leaves and their processed products.
The candidate should have experience in food safety, food microbiology and analytical chemistry.
The successful candidate will be a Kenyan citizen with a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline with at least 2 years work experience in food industry or in a Microbiology Research laboratory.

The International Potato Center (CIP), SSA is seeking a dynamic and resourceful research professional to support technical implementation of field experiments in East Africa, as part of the research within the CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems.
The Center:
CIP is a not-for-profit international agricultural research organization with a global mandate to conduct research on genetic resources of potatoes, sweetpotato, and other Andean roots and tubers, crop genetic enhancement and improvement, integrated crop management and sustainable management of natural resources.
The Position:
This position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya and will support the implementation of different trials to contribute to the Production Systems and the Environment sub-Program in SSA.
Duties and Accountabilities:
The Research Technician will be based in Nairobi, Kenya at the CIP Regional office, ILRI campus.
