Scott Christian University Library Assistant, Chef and Cook Jobs in Kenya Scott Christian University invites applications from qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions.
In order be considered for a position, all applicants must be committed Christians who are active members of their churches.
1. Library Assistant (1 Post)
Requirements:


  • Diploma in Library and Information Sciences and KCE Div. III or KCSE C+
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience preferably in an automated university or research library system
  • Certificate in ICT or comparable experience of at least 2 years
  • Must be a good team player capable of fostering a cooperative work environment Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist users, utilize print and electronic information resources
  • Maintain and update library database
  • Handle general reference queries
  • Maintain order in arrangement of library materials 2. Chef (1 Post)
    Requirements
  • Diploma in Catering
  • At least 3 years experience working in a busy catering establishment and preparing a la carte dishes
  • Must be a good team player capable of fostering a cooperative work environment Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of healthy food in various stations as designated to meet quality and quantity
  • Supervision of kitchen staff and directing meal preparation
  • Estimating food requirements and ordering food together with other supplies
  • Portioning, arranging, and garnishing food; serving food to waiters or guests
  • Cleaning food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • Development of new recipes 3. Cook (1 Post)
    Requirements
  • Minimum of a Certificate in Food Production
  • At least 3 years experience working in a catering establishment (mostly in an institution)
  • Must be a good team player capable of fostering a cooperative work environment Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of healthy food in various stations as designated to meet quality and quantity
  • Portioning, arranging, and garnishing food; serving food to waiters or guests
  • Cleaning food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
