Land O’Lakes International Development Division has applied, since 1981,

The overarching goal for the Kenya Feed the Future Innovation Engine
(KFIE) is to harness innovation for cutting-edge results through private
sector-oriented strategies.
In a manner similar to a venture capital fund, KFIE serves as a
mechanism for proactively seeking, testing and scaling up innovative
private sector strategies.
These innovations will directly impact food security and nutrition on a wide scale.
The Position:
Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Assessment & Evaluation
Specialist will be responsible for design and oversight of experiments
and other rigorous evidence-based assessments to implement KFIE’s
monitoring & evaluation (M&E) plan.
Required
At least five (5) years’ of designing and
implementing quantitative and/or qualitative research methods for
agricultural and/or innovation program assessment and evaluation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
Experience in development and implementation of data
collection methods and tools as well as systems for entry, analysis and
storage of quantitative data
Demonstrated knowledge of results-based management
Computer literacy and competency in use of Microsoft Office software, particularly
Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint
Good time management and willingness to work occasional long hours and travel to the field as required
Ability to independently and proactively work as a team member with minimum day-to-day oversight
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and result-driven,
with ability to effectively build and manage networks and relationships
for program promotion and issue-resolution
Ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor tasks
Highly developed conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving ability
Preferred
Masters or PhD degree in Agricultural Economics; Economics; Development Studies or other relevant field
Verbal and written communication skills in Kiswahili.
Experience working in large USAID-funded and other development programs will be distinctly advantageous.
Experience with US Government rules, regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Participate actively in the development and dissemination
of the Commercial function’s strategic plans and deriving longterm
objectives and priorities.
Determine the need for new/amended products to complement the
company’s portfolio or to fulfil the needs of existing or new customer
needs. Champion such product development internally.
Recruit, Develop, and retain a highly disciplined sales force
Develop and implement a highly disciplined approach to managing the sales process to ensure that opportunities are maximized
Increase market share in existing markets and maximise new business opportunities
Ensure market trends and up-to-date market intelligence is
sourced into the company to form part of the decision making background
and to develop the general market/industry awareness
Ensure a seamless handover from sales/pre-sales to Project
Management to ensure the successful planning and implementation of each
project
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Degree holder and a Postgraduate academic qualification in sales or marketing will be an added advantage
8 years sales/marketing experience in an FMCG or
telecommunications company, 4 of which must be in a senior sales
leadership role
Excellent public presentation and communication/interpersonal skills
Strong sales management/leadership/negotiation skills
Business acumen and financial skills
Resilience especially in pushing for what they believe in
A strong customer orientation
