The Country Director, Kenya will provide the strategic vision and leadership for the Kenya country program.

programs, donor and government relations, fundraising and budget

policy and procedures to ensure constant compliance with IRC and donor
policies across the program
Promote coordination and teamwork between program and

Human Resource Management, Staff Development & Retention
Develop a positive work environment for all staff supported by a professional level human resource management function

Requirements:
Graduate degree in relevant field;
At least ten years of international work experience covering both emergency and post-conflict development programming;
Extensive program development and fund raising experience, prior experience with European, US and international donors;

Financial Management:

Safety and Security

information of IHUB staff, dependents and visitors is kept up to date;
actively participate as a member of the Nairobi Security Management Team
(NSMT) during monthly meetings
Coordination, Communication and Representation:
Chair the monthly IHUB All Staff Meeting
Ensure timely and consistent communication with HQ (GSC,
Finance, HR, Internal Audit, Technical Units, Regional Units, IPD and
IHUB Supervisors) on operational and financial issues
Establish good working relationships with the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, Labor Office, Customs and Immigration Departments to

Job Purpose / Objective:
The GBV officer- Psychosocial will support the successful implementation
of all psychosocial activities, and will be responsible for the
provision of quality case management including direct counseling to GBV
survivors.
In collaboration with the WPE manager and WPE/GBV officers will support
in the provision of training and supervising GBV Community Workers to
respond to cases of GBV in the camp and ensure effective case
management.
This includes providing ongoing training and mentorship for community
workers and utilizing monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure high

Key Responsibilities
Case management
Provide professional and confidential services to
survivors of GBV, grounded in the IRC’s holistic, survivor-centered case
management approach.
Document client information through accurate filling of intake forms and ensure confidential and safe storage
Support the maintenance of the IRC’s case management system by maintaining client confidentiality
Ensure the GBVIMS is accurately updated on a regular basis
Ethically and confidentially collect and store GBV data.
Participate in interpretation of the analyzed data on trends

systems and help to ensure that GBV community workers utilize these
systems correctly and consistently.

Training, Mentorship and couching
Supervise and provide training, mentorship, and other
technical support to community workers directly involved with the
psychosocial component of the International Rescue Committee’s GBV
programme.

activities to all community workers to ensure all programme activities
meet best practice standards.
Monitor and supervise case management, including capacity
building through training and on-the-job training of community workers.
Training topics should include active listening and effective
communication, action and safety planning, GBV guiding principles, GBV

Strengthen and maintain networks through other service
providers and camp management to ensure that survivors receive
compassionate support from the community and to encourage greater

Advice the GBV outreach officer on programming areas that require targeted interventions and campaigns based on trend analysis.
Strengthen and maintain networks with community leaders, women
leaders, service providers and camp management to ensure that survivors
receive compassionate support from the community and to encourage
greater communication, collaboration and coordination among partners
(protection, health, legal, and psychosocial sectors)
Work in collaboration with GBV outreach officer to ensure
ongoing needs of women and girls are being met through
prevention-related activities.
Monitor monthly community outreach plan with community workers, based on case trends and ongoing needs of women and girls.
Partnership development
Participate in review meetings and psychosocial capacity assessment of the local partners
Participate in capacity building trainings for the local partners around psychosocial support
Share technical expertise on case management with local partner
Organize and conduct trainings for partners on relevant
organizational development areas and support peer learning between IRC

Development of referral networks between partners implementing GBV and implementation of referral pathways

Officer will offer quality health care to all patients in the hospital

Key Responsibilities
Program management:
In coordination with the Clinical Services Manager,
formulate program goals, objectives and intervention strategies and
participate in the budgeting process
Ensure that all health activities are implemented as outlined in the project documents
Review the program activities and priorities on a regular
basis updating the clinical services manager on gaps and/or provide
recommendations on how to improve quality of services
Human Resource:
Be a team leader in patient management in all hospital departments, giving support and guidance
Manage the Clinical Services Program in acting capacity when the CSM is not in office
Provide technical and administration work guidelines that are within the IRC policy
Program activities:
Conduct daily ward rounds in the hospital
Ensure patient management is in line with the set MOH, WHO and UNHCR guidelines and protocols
Attend to all emergencies, both medical and surgical within 15 minutes

The grants officer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of IRC Lodwar’s grants.
She/he will assist in new program development as defined by the Field
